When you post the information for storage into the PIFF database, you will be asked to upload an accompanying file which should be in .pdf format and should ideally include:

Floor plan of each floor and surroundings

Entrances and exits (main and fire)

Details of any attached living premises

Contact details of Keyholders

Location of Hydrant(s)

Location of utility isolators:
Electricity
Gas
Water
Other

Details of fire alarm
Location
How to silence

Location of explosive chemicals eg
Propane, Butane
Acetylene
Oxygen
Batteries (e.g. Lithium)
Other

Location of potentially ‘large / dangerous’ amounts of:
Combustible chemicals eg;
Methylated Spirit
IsoPropyl Alcohol
Combustible materials eg;
Wood
Paper
Plastic
Other
Corrosive Chemicals (eg COSHH marked)

What quality should the plan be?

A scanned hand written note is better than nothing, but if you believe that the information provided to the Fire Service can be improved upon, then it is your public duty to present as much information as could be useful in an emergency in as clear a manner as possible. Examples are :
